Aufbruchstimmung

„Tiere wie du und ich sind faszinierende Geschöpfe. In allen Formen, Farben und Grössen tummeln wir uns auf diesem Planeten. Manchmal streiten wir, aber eigentlich möchten wir immer Frieden haben. Deshalb ist der Schneelöwe ein grosses Vorbild für uns. Er ist ein mythologisches Wesen des Himalayas, das furchtloses Glück symbolisiert. Sein Brüllen füllt die Welt mit Mut und Wahrheit und auch wenn alles im Chaos zu versinken droht, ist er immer verspielt und heiter.“

Gebannt lauschte der kleine Pinguin den Worten seines Vaters. Er verspürte das Verlangen, die Gute-Nacht-Geschichte zu unterbrechen und nachzufragen, was mythologisch bedeutet, doch leider war seine Stimme noch nicht ausgebildet. Obwohl sich des Vaters Bauchfalte und eine dicke Eierschale behütend um ihn legten, spürte der Embryo die schneidende Kälte, die zu ihm ins Ei drang. Einzig die warme Erzählerstimme war es, die sich wie eine kuschelige Decke um ihn schmiegte und ihn vom Frieren abhielt.

„Neben den Tieren gibt es noch eine weitere Lebensform“, fuhr der Vater fort. „Die Pflanzen. Wenn du ihnen Sorge trägst, sie behütest und ihnen regelmässig Wasser gibst, werden sie wachsen und sich mit wundervollen Gaben wie Früchten, Schatten und Sauerstoff bei dir bedanken. Dem, der von ganzem Herzen gibt, kann zwar viel genommen werden. Lässt er sich davon aber nicht beirren, wird er irgendwann die saftigsten Früchte ernten dürfen. So funktioniert das Leben.“

Als er das Wort Leben hörte, begann das Herz des kleinen Pinguins bis in den Hals zu hüpfen und sein ganzer Körper kribbelte vor lauter Vorfreude. Bald schon würde er die Schale durchstossen und sich selbst ein Bild dieser wunderbaren Welt machen, von der ihm sein Vater jeden Abend berichtete. Drollig würde er die Eisrutschbahn hinunterrollen und mit einem eleganten Sprung im Wasser landen. Er würde sich mit den Pflanzen, den Schneelöwen und vielen anderen wunderbaren Wesen anfreunden und er konnte es kaum erwarten, endlich seine Flügel auszubreiten und der strahlenden Sonne entgegen zu fliegen.

Eigentlich war er schon fast bereit. Sein Schnabel war hart und lang und seine Flügel zuckten in freudiger Erwartung vor dem baldigen Aufbruch. Die Sprache hatte er sich durch blosses Zuhören angeeignet und sein Magen war gerade dabei, genüsslich die letzten Vorräte des Dotters zu verdauen. Nur seine Stimme blieb stumm und er fragte sich, wie lange dies wohl so bleiben würde...
